  • 02/11/11--02:47: Michael Rosenbaum Apparently Refuses To Be A Part Of The Smallville Finale! (chan 1400377)
  • Despite numerous hints being dropped throughout the final season of Smallville and constant "wait and see" teases from the shows cast and producers, a report from Entertainment Weekly makes it seem extremely unlikely that we'll see Michael Rosenbaum return as Lex Luthor as many had hoped. "He has put the show behind him and moved on," says a knowledgeable source. "He’s pursuing his other creative outlet [writing]. By all indications, he is not going to be involved." The door still remains open for Rosenbaum to come on board, but it’s closing fast. Smallville wraps series production late next month, with only three episodes — including the two-hour finale — left to shoot. After the fairly lame way the character was written out of the show at the end of season 7, it's a shame we'll never get to see a decent face off between him and Clark, especially as their friendship was a huge

  • 02/11/11--02:51: Mark Millar's Nemesis Gets A Screenwriter, Or Does It? (chan 1400377)
  • Latino Review claim that Mark Millar's Nemesis now has a screenwriter. The film will be directed by Tony Scott, but so far not much else is known about the project.. Anyway, the project is being fast tracked as I hear that screenwriter Matthew Michael Carnahan (LIONS FOR LAMBS, STATE OF PLAY) is in talks to adapt Millar's comic into a screenplay. Ok, sounds cool to me. Except Millar just tweeted.. My Nemesis film gets a screenwriter? Interesting: And followed with a link to the article. Although his comment is vague and doesn't disproves Latino Review's claim, it does at least hint that the info isn't entirely accurate. Of course he could just be stirring the pot too I guess! What do you think?

  • 02/11/11--08:36: New Trailer for Battle: Los Angeles (chan 1400377)
  • Written by Christopher Bertolini (The General's Daughter) and directed by Jonathan Liebesman (The Killing Room), Battle: Los Angeles is inspired by the 1942 "attack" on Los Angeles that has become known as "The Battle of Los Angeles," an incident which involved the U.S. military strafing the skies over L.A. with anti-aircraft fire for more than an hour without ever hitting any targets. At the time, the U.S. military thought we were being invaded by the Japanese. Today, the incident has been ruled a "false alarm" triggered by "war nerves," but many believe that the military was shooting at a UFO or multiple UFOs (and a photo that ran in the L.A. Times appears to show spotlights focusing on a flying saucer). Battle: Los Angeles stars Aaron Eckhart, Michelle Rodriguez, Michael Pena, Bridget Moynahan, Lucas Till, and singer-turned-actor Ne-Yo. • 02/11/11--09:23: Fear Itself: Youth in Revolt (chan 1400377)
  • In the wake of the Civil War, the Initiative would have been there to marshal the heroes of tomorrow against any force of evil, no matter how great. But for the heroes-in-training who managed to survive Norman Osborn’s corrupt regime, there’s only one honorable response to yet another call for mandatory service – run! “With YOUTH IN REVOLT, we’re taking a look at how a palpable sense of fear and despair can affect the younger generation of heroes,” said McKeever to Marvel.com. “In the first issue, they’re deputized by the federal government in anticipation of terrible things to come, but what then? When they’re rushed into action without any strategy, who suffers? When things get out of hand, who will step up and who will crumble? And how well can they stand up to their own fears?” Unregistered and untested, the former Initiative trainees will learn fast that even super-heroes have to

  • 02/11/11--10:55: Tommy Lee Jones Opens Up On Captain America Role & Men In Black 3! (chan 1400377)
  • Chatting shortly with New York's Vulture magazine, Oscar winning actor Tommy Lee Jones opens up vaguely on his 'Col. Chester Phillips' role in Joe Johnston's Captain America: The First Avenger movie, as well the latest Men In Black installment. What are you doing in Captain America? I mean, literally: What are you doing in Captain America!? "Yeah, I ask myself that same question every day! The character I play is the one you’ve seen in a thousand movies: the gruff, skeptical officer overseeing a team of talented, slightly sarcastic, specially talented soldiers." And I’m guessing you’re confounded by the Captain "Not confounded, exactly. Skeptical. At first. And then convinced." Is it still fun to do those? "Men in Black is a hell of a lot of fun. I can’t think of any better company than Will Smith or [director] Barry Sonnenfeld. It’s just a pure joy all day, every day." Can you give me a sense of the

  • 02/11/11--11:10: First Set Pic From Locke & Key Shows Preparation For Filming (chan 1400377)
  • Here is our first not so revealing look at the set of Locke & Key. It isn't much but we now know preparations have started for the filming of the show's pilot episode. The picture was taken by Chris Ryall, the shows Editor-in-chief. The cast of Locke & Key includes Miranda Otto (Nina Locke) and her three children, Jesse McCartney (Tyler), Sarah Bolger (Kinsey), and Skylar Gaertner (Bode). Produced by Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci who will also be bringing us Cowboys & Aliens and the sequel to the 2009 reboot of Star Trek. • 02/11/11--11:19: YOUNG JUSTICE/CBM EXCLUSIVE: Greg Weisman & Brandon Vietti on "Infiltrator" (chan 1400377)
  • Interview conducted by Ed Gross Artemis faces an uphill battle winning over her new teammates as she tries to fill Red Arrow’s boots on a mission he initiated, saving a brilliant young scientist from the League of Shadows. SUPERHERO TOONIVERSE: What was the appeal of bringing in the character of Artemis? GREG WEISMAN: She’s not an incredibly famous character in the comics; she’s a little bit obscure. We are being faithful to her, but using her in a whole new way. We’re real excited to finally be bringing her on screen. BRANDON VIETTI: She’s a really strong female character, which was important to us. Sometimes when you’re working on these superhero shows, boys are sort of your target audience. Sometimes there’s a little hesitancy to put the females in there because maybe the boys won’t like them. I kind of think that the boys are kind of like Artemis – she’s a tough character who

  • 02/11/11--11:36: RUMOR: Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson Up For A Role In A Future X-Men Movie? (chan 1400377)
  • Not exactly the most reliable of sources I know, but Examiner have now revealed that there have been whispers accompanying the X-Men: First Class trailers release yesterday that Dwayne Johnson is up for a role in a future X-Men movie. They also mention that he's been a big fan of the franchise for a while now and that his friendship with Hugh Jackman might help with him landing a role. As Hugh Jackman bulks up to his beefy best for the next sequel to Wolverine in the the hugely popular X-Men film franchise, there's talk amidst Thursday's release of the X-Men First Class trailer (see video on left) that a former WWE superstar-turned-movie star may become a mutant himself. Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson, a self-described "fan" of the X-Men series, has been rumored as a potential star in a future X-Men film for nearly three years. So far, the rumors haven't manifested in

Batman-On-Film then elaborated on this by posting the following bit of info sent in to them apparently by one of their inside sources. • 02/11/11--14:30: Charlize Theron Joins Ridley Scott's Prometheus (chan 1400377)
  • The former Alien prequel recently got a makeover into a completely new concept known as Prometheus. The film will have some Alien prequel remnants in its story. COMINGSOON is now reporting that Charlize Theron is now officially joining Noomi Rapace (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo) and Michael Fassbender (X-Men: First Class) in the Ridley Scott directed Prometheus. Her role still has not been revealed. Also two major roles still need to be cast in the film Here is Scott's explanation of the story details: "While 'Alien' was indeed the jumping off point for this project, out of the creative process evolved a new, grand mythology and universe in which this original story takes place. The keen fan will recognize strands of 'Alien's' DNA, so to speak, but the ideas tackled in this film are unique, large and provocative. I couldn't be more pleased to have found the

  • 02/11/11--14:57: Michael Fassbender Gives A Commentary On The X-Men: First Class Trailer! (chan 1400377)
  • Movie Trailers - Movies Blog "No, I used the comics as the source material," Fassbender revealed when quizzed about whether or not he looked at the past movies and based his performance off Ian McKellan's portrayal of Magneto. "I'm not a teacher, I'm a pupil," he went on to explain. "Charlie boy is the teacher. ... He sees the potential in this new race... and gathers us all together to fulfill our ultimate powers." Fassbender also compared Charles Xavier to Martin Luther King, Jr, and Magneto to the more incendiary civil rights leader Malcolm X when talking about the 1960's setting of the movie. The actor then offered some more insight on the teams costumes saying that there are two versions of the iconic helmet and that the yellow uniforms don't play a huge part in the movie. "No, that's sort of when we come together as a team." X-Men: First Class is set to be
