02/11/11--02:47: Michael Rosenbaum Apparently Refuses To Be A Part Of The Smallville Finale! (chan 1400377)

Despite numerous hints being dropped throughout the final season of Smallville and constant "wait and see" teases from the shows cast and producers, a report from Entertainment Weekly makes it seem extremely unlikely that we'll see Michael Rosenbaum return as Lex Luthor as many had hoped. "He has put the show behind him and moved on," says a knowledgeable source. "He’s pursuing his other creative outlet [writing]. By all indications, he is not going to be involved." The door still remains open for Rosenbaum to come on board, but it’s closing fast. Smallville wraps series production late next month, with only three episodes — including the two-hour finale — left to shoot. After the fairly lame way the character was written out of the show at the end of season 7, it's a shame we'll never get to see a decent face off between him and Clark, especially as their friendship was a huge

Latino Review claim that Mark Millar's Nemesis now has a screenwriter. The film will be directed by Tony Scott, but so far not much else is known about the project.. Anyway, the project is being fast tracked as I hear that screenwriter Matthew Michael Carnahan (LIONS FOR LAMBS, STATE OF PLAY) is in talks to adapt Millar's comic into a screenplay. Ok, sounds cool to me. Except Millar just tweeted.. My Nemesis film gets a screenwriter? Interesting: And followed with a link to the article. Although his comment is vague and doesn't disproves Latino Review's claim, it does at least hint that the info isn't entirely accurate. Of course he could just be stirring the pot too I guess! What do you think?

Norman Reedus gave out an exciting announcement today via Twitter about the upcoming release of Walking Dead action figures. Not only is there a line of figures based on both the Comicbook itself and the AMC television series but they will be produced by none other than the Action Figure Guru's over at McFarlane Toys! The article that Reedus sited for this info (linked at the bottom of the page) states that: "The first series of 6" figures are set for release in September and include Officer Rick Grimes, Michonne, Zombie Lurker and Zombie Roamer. Series 2 will arrive in November and feature characters from the television show: Deputy Rick Grimes, Daryl Dixon, Zombie Walker and Zombie Biter." Here is our first not so revealing look at the set of Locke & Key. It isn't much but we now know preparations have started for the filming of the show's pilot episode. The picture was taken by Chris Ryall, the shows Editor-in-chief. The cast of Locke & Key includes Miranda Otto (Nina Locke) and her three children, Jesse McCartney (Tyler), Sarah Bolger (Kinsey), and Skylar Gaertner (Bode). Not exactly the most reliable of sources I know, but Examiner have now revealed that there have been whispers accompanying the X-Men: First Class trailers release yesterday that Dwayne Johnson is up for a role in a future X-Men movie. They also mention that he's been a big fan of the franchise for a while now and that his friendship with Hugh Jackman might help with him landing a role. As Hugh Jackman bulks up to his beefy best for the next sequel to Wolverine in the the hugely popular X-Men film franchise, there's talk amidst Thursday's release of the X-Men First Class trailer (see video on left) that a former WWE superstar-turned-movie star may become a mutant himself. Firstly, here are a couple of Tweets that Chris over at Batman-News noticed earlier today and was kind enought to make us aware of. Be sure to head on over to that site for more. Batman-On-Film then elaborated on this by posting the following bit of info sent in to them apparently by one of their inside sources. "There's going to be something big shot at the New York Stock Exchange, probably in October. Word has it that principal photography will start in India." The former Alien prequel recently got a makeover into a completely new concept known as Prometheus. The film will have some Alien prequel remnants in its story. COMINGSOON is now reporting that Charlize Theron is now officially joining Noomi Rapace (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo) and Michael Fassbender (X-Men: First Class) in the Ridley Scott directed Prometheus. Her role still has not been revealed.
